Description

Anthurium Carlablackiae x Carlablackiae is a prized intraspecific hybrid known for its dark, velvety foliage and prominent contrast veining. Originating from Central American rainforest parents, this specimen displays deep green to near-black leaves with bold silver-white veins, making it a standout addition to any tropical collection.
General Care Requirements
  • Light: Bright, Indirect Light — Thrives in soft, filtered sunlight. Avoid direct, harsh sunlight to prevent scorching the delicate velvety leaves.
  • Watering: Moderate Moisture — Water when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Keep the medium consistently moist, but ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogging and root rot.
  • Soil & Substrate: Chunky, Well-Draining Mix — Requires an airy, highly porous potting blend (such as a mix of orchid bark, perlite, peat moss, and charcoal) to provide maximum aeration to the roots.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Warmth & High Humidity — Prefers stable temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Performs best in elevated humidity levels (>50–60%) to prevent leaf crisping and encourage large leaf growth.
  • Fertilization: Apply Bajanas fertilizer once every 3 months to support steady growth and strong foliage development.
